FAQ - Proofing Information for Advertisers

Can I fax in my changes?
Yes. Make sure to sign and date the Ad Verification form. If we have questions regarding changes you may be requesting, we will contact you. Our fax number is 650-636-0320.

Can I make my changes over the phone?
Yes, but we prefer you return the Ad Verification sheet signed and dated to ensure accuracy.

When do I need to return my proof?
You need to return the proof by the date stamped on the proof itself, which is usually 10 days after receiving the ad. By doing so, it insures your changes can be made by the final deadline.

Who do I contact if I want to know if I can make a certain type of change?
Contact the West Coast Yellow Pages Production Dept at 650-636-0300 ext 230.

Can I give my proof changes to my sales representative?
You can give the proof to the rep; however, we recommend that you send all changes to our Production Department via fax, email or mail.

If I do not want to make any changes to the proof, do I still need to sign it and send it in?
Yes. We prefer to confirm that you have seen and approved the ad, even if there are no changes. If we do not hear from you by the date on the ad verification form, we will assume everything is approved.

If I send in changes, will I get another proof?
In most cases, no. Unless you have requested major changes to your ad, we will not send a revised proof.

Will I be notified by West Coast Yellow Pages when you get my changes?
No. You will only be contacted if there are questions concerning the changes you sent in.

I need to make changes to my ad(s). What do I do?
Make all the changes you want on the proof itself. Be as clear as you can as to the changes you want made. Once you have done this, please sign and date the proof and send it back via fax or mail.

What happens if I don't get the proof back to you by the date stamped on it?
WE CANNOT GUARANTEE CHANGES WILL BE MADE IF RECEIVED AFTER THE DEADLINE. We would like to get it back by the date stamped. By doing so, we do not have to rush to ensure we give your changes the time they deserve. However, if time allows, changes will be made.

The proof that I received is to be used in more than one directory. If I make changes to just this proof, will all the directories ads be changed?
The proofs you receive are only for the ads of the book and year listed at the top left hand side of the proof. If this ad is used in other directories and you want them changed as well, you should make this very clear on the proof what other ads need to also be changed. Failure to do so may lead to changes in only one directory (the one listed on the proof) instead of multiple directories.
